Latin and World Music: A Journey In Song!

Latin & World Music
Let your students join actress and singer Sally G. Ramírez and professional guitarist Doug Robinson,on a multicultural journey through the music of Latin America, Brazil, and the Caribbean!

Singing songs in Spanish, Portuguese, and English, Sally and Doug give students an appreciation for the musical styles and values of different cultures.

Sally is a classically trained vocalist with a stunning stage presence, and Doug is a guitarist with years of international touring experience. Together, they are able to impart the joy of musical celebration to young people, while educating them about the different composers, and the cultural values which inspired their work.

The assembly program features music by Antonio Carlo Jobim , Rafael Hernandez, Antonio Caban Vale, Meredith Wilson, and others.

Doug RobinsonDoug Robinson has had a 30 year, diverse career of touring and session work as a vocalist, bassist, guitarist and producer, with many world-music, folk, country, pop, jazz and blues artists. See his full bio on the “Sally & Doug” page of this website.
